Join Us for the 2026 Millpine Derby!
Last year’s Millpine Derby was a tremendous success, raising $6,837 for Millstadt area food distribution programs, including derby proceeds and a generous donation from the Millstadt Chamber’s annual Leprechaun Crawl. Together, we provided over 70% of the yearly budget needed to fight childhood hunger right here in our community.
This year, we’re ready to go even bigger!
The Need in Our Community
The reality is stark: 22% of students in our area qualify for free or reduced lunch, and 26% arrive at school without having eaten breakfast. That means more than 1 in 4 kids start their day without the fuel they need to learn and thrive. The problem doesn’t stop at the school bell - weekends and summer months leave many students without consistent access to meals. With recent grant programs no longer available, the need has never been greater.
Our Mission
When we at Millpond Brewing learned about this crisis affecting our neighbors’ children, we knew we had to act. The Millpine Derby combines community spirit, friendly competition, and great beer to fund food distribution programs that serve students during school, before school, after school, and throughout the summer.

What is Millpine Derby?
Millpine Derby is a Pinewood Derby style race with all proceeds donated to food distribution programs at MCS and St. James Schools.
